Frank Hartline, 85, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at a local hospital.
He was born in Knoxville, on June 29, 1927, to Granville and Harriet Hartline, both of whom predeceased him.
He was also predeceased by his wife of many years, Catherine Everett Hartline. Siblings are Jim (Gerry) Hartline of Virginia, Bob (Virginia) Hartline of Cleveland, Marian (Bill) Jamborski of Knoxville, and Shirley Hartline, who predeceased him, and Polly (Trin) Wooten of Rossville, who survives him. Children are Susan Hartline, who predeceased him, and Rick Hartline and Linda Hartline Johnson, both of Cleveland, who survive him. Grandchildren are Ashley (Brad) Wolfe, Alex Knight, and Creed Knight. Great-grandchildren are Avery Wolfe and Ian Wolfe, all of Chattanooga.
After school, Frank went to work at Delta Air Lines as a ticket clerk. Then he moved on to be an underwriter for Provident Life Insurance where he worked until he retired, advancing to be a vice president. He loved to tell stories of his travels for Provident and people he met.
He was a talented lifetime inventor, who loved to tinker in his shop. His other favorite hobby was traveling and meeting new people with whom to talk.
