Judith Ann Johnson Casteen, 70, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Tuesday, December 25, 2012.
A resident of the Ringgold area for the past 7 years, she was previously of Bakersfield, Ca., and of the Lutheran faith.
Judith taught quilting at the Lavender Lime Quilt Store in East Ridge, for four years and was a former teacher for 38 years at Kern High School District in Bakersfield, Ca. An avid quilter, she was a member of the Ringgold UMC Quilters, Battlefield Quilters, Moon over the Mountain, Pioneer Quilt Guild, and the Crazy Quilters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Paul and Viva Leona Adamson Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Russ Casteen, Jr. of Ringgold; sister, Linda Mumsford of Bakersfield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daniel R. and Mary Lou Casteen of Ringgold, and nephew, Kevin Johnson of Bakersfield.
The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a Cancer society of your choice.
