Northgate Mall Features McCallie School On Art Wall

  • Wednesday, December 26, 2012

Northgate Mall will feature the McCallie School this month on the Northgate Mall Art Wall. The McCallie School is dedicated to preparing young men to make a positive difference in their world.

"I am always looking for opportunities to showcase the artwork of my students. Having a display at the Northgate Mall is a wonderful way for art teachers throughout the county to bring student work out of the classroom and into the community,” said Suzanne Mortimer, Art Department chair at the McCallie School.

“This is a great opportunity to partner with the community,” said Steve Banks, general manager of Northgate Mall. “Northgate Mall has always maintained strong community ties and the Art Wall is a continuation of these partnerships."

The Art Wall is located at the main mall entry near Belk. Artwork is displayed throughout the year and a different school will be featured each month. In November, Hixson Middle School was featured.
