Paul Rogers Mitchell, 88, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died peacefully Sunday night, December 23, 2012 after a brief illness. 

Born Oct. 19, 1924, in Sylvester, Ga., he was the son of the late Julious C. Mitchell and Cleo F. Mitchell.

Paul worked for Cambell and Associates Inc. for 23 years and retired in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf and square dancing.

He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Glenn Mitchell; two wives, Elizabeth T. Mitchell and Ardie G. Mitchell; two sisters, Hazel M. Segars and Margaret V. Bryant and a brother, Julious Glenn Mitchell. 

He is survived by three children; Paula E. Cronan, Carrollton, Ga., Carol E. Neveils, Cumming, Ga., and Jeffery F. Mitchell, Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Willo Dean Strickland, Havana, Fla., and Dorothy Imogene Morehead, Convoy, Oh.; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Paul R. Mitchell will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at Brainerd Hills Church of God on 410 Friar Rd, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421-5125. Flowers may be sent to Brainerd Hills Church of God.
