Electrical Lineman Had 20-Year Career With EPB

Randall “Meathead” Jackson, 57, died on Monday, December 24 at his home in Falling Water, Tennessee.

He was a member of Falling Water Baptist Church.   

Randall was an electrical lineman and a 40-year member of IBEW Local 175. He began work with J.I. Brown Tree Company, later working for Dillard Smith Construction and retiring from EPB with more than 20 years of service.

Randall was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Jackson and father, Thomas Jackson.

Survivors include his daughter, Ginger Jackson; mother, Mary Lynn Jackson; sister,  Connie (Jim) Farmer; brother, Tommy (Beverly) Jackson; former wife, Jackie Jackson and her sister, Jody (Tom) Hancock; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.  

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at Falling Water Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at the church with Dr. Steve Canada and Reverend Tommy Taylor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Falling Water Baptist Church, 523 Roberts Mill Rd, Hixson, Tn. 37343 or to the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga, 212 North Highland Park Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.    

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
