Mary Weaver
Mary Ella Jenkins Lee Weaver, 92, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Parkridge Hospital.
She worked at the Lunch Counter at the Volunteer Building for many years. She was a faithful and lifelong member of Olivet Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Weaver; mother, Amanda Jenkins; brothers, Eddie B., Leroy, Alphonso, Arthur Lewis Jenkins.
Survivors include her sister, Helen J. Rucker; sister-in-law, Clareice Jenkins; nephew, Amir elHussien; nieces, Yasmin Charisse Chargualaf, Alesia Jenkins, Cassandra (Marcus) Copper; great-nephew, Sergio Chargualaf; great-niece, Amanda Chargualaf; great-great-nephew, Raiden Chargualaf; a host of other neighbors and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Adams officiating.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
