2 Teens Shot On East 12th Street Thursday Evening

The 19-year-old in Thursday's shooting has been identified as Jemichael Jones.

Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of East 12th Street  at 6:12 p.m., where they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.  

A 17-year-old male was shot in the back and a 19-year-old male was shot in the leg. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injuries.  

It was reported to detectives that the victims were walking down the street when the suspect(s) shot them and fled the area.  

Both victims are listed in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
