Imogene A. Hickey, 80, of Hixson, passed into her heavenly home on December 28, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur V. Hickey; her grandson, Joshua Carpenter; and great-granddaughter, Sierra Carpenter.

Survivors include her daughters, Tina (Roger) Price and Janice (Steve) Carpenter; son, Art (Laura) Hickey.  She nurtured and cherished her twelve grandchildren: Nicole, Travis, Lily, Chelsea, Jason, Josh, Jonathan, Phillip, Patrick, Stephanie, Paul and Abigail; five great-grandchildren:  Austin, Gavin, Sierra, Kinsey and Mason.  She also had many extended step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved as her own.

Imogene was a strong loving woman who overcame many disabilities and gave so much love and support to her family.

We want to thank her caregivers: Dot, Tiffany and Katy for making her world a better place.  We also want to thank CARIS Hospice for the wonderful support and care they provided.

The family will receive friends from1-3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, with a memorial service at 3 p.m. conducted by Reverend Donald Ferguson at Bartlebaugh Baptist Church, 6129 Champion Road.
