Greene, Jean Cofer

Jean Cofer Greene, 82, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Monday, December 31, 2012. 

A native of Georgetown, Tennessee, she had lived in the Ringgold area for the past 74 years and was a member of the Ringgold First Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Greene; mother, Lucille Shamlin Landen; father, French Cofer and brother, Carl Cofer. 

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Greene of Peachtree City, Ga., son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Charlene Greene of Rossville, two grandchildren, Ben and Kylie Greene; special nephew, Scott Watson of Winterville, N.C., and several other nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Ringgold First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Whitaker and Dr. Bruce Sloan officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 2-9 p.m., and Thursday until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold.
