Congressman Chuck Fleischmann commented on President Obama’s decision to “compromise” on his assault against religious freedom.
“It is sad that this President, and his Administration, thought it was a good idea to infringe upon the religious rights of so many Americans in the first place. The First Amendment, and the freedom for one to openly practice his or her beliefs, is a fundamental right upon which this country was founded. I was offended by the arrogance found in his original decision.
For any Administration to think their government-mandated ideas trump a fundamental religious practice is wrong.
"Now he has replaced one mandate with another. The very obvious problems found in these decisions show how bad ObamaCare is for this country. Government-run health care is not the answer, and the law should be repealed. As I did in my first year in Congress, I will continue to vote to repeal and undue this disastrous policy.”
