Marie M. Arnold, 80, of Hixson, died on January 10, 2012.

Marie was a member of the Red Bank Baptist Church, and the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Vacie McClure Massengale; son, James Darrell Arnold; and sister, Frances Kelley.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James W. Arnold; daughter; Lynn (Phil) Wilson; son, Lamar (Sherie) Arnold; and four grandchildren, Kim Arnold, Josh and Erin Wilson, Katie Arnold and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 12, from 5-8 p.m. at the North Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 13, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Reverend Bert Jones officiating.   

The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Bank Baptist Church, 4000 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37415.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of East Ridge for your loving care of our wife and mom.

Virgil C. Thomas, 99, of Kimball, Tennessee, died on Friday, May 11, 2012.
