Jessie F. Morris, 92, of East Ridge, died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 in a local health care facility. 

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, was a member of the East Ridge Church of God, and worked as a floral designer with East Ridge Florist for 34 years.  

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucy Fitzpatrick. 

Survivors include her daughters, Nece (Joe) Brooks O’Rear of Chattanooga, and Carol Brooks Courtney, East Ridge; grandchildren, Sherri (Mike) Walker of Rossville, Susan (Robert, Jr.) Watkins, John Courtney, Milford Courtney, all of East Ridge, Lisa (James) Boone, Rossville, & Jenny (Mike) Eustice, Chattanooga;  six great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at noon in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Dallas Beck officiating.  Burial will follow in the LaFayette City Cemetery.

Virgil C. Thomas, 99, of Kimball, Tennessee, died on Friday, May 11, 2012.
