Body Mechanic At Lee Smith For Many Years

David Nathan Evans, 84, of Rossville, died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 in a local health care facility. 

Mr. Evans had lived all of his life in the North Georgia area and was an elder at the Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ for many years and was currently a member of the Greens Lake Road Church of Christ.  A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he was retired from Lee-Smith as a body mechanic with 27 years of service, and he was known for driving his1934 Coupe around town. He loved everything about cars, fishing, camping, and bike riding.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Linda Evans; and brothers and sisters, Kenneth, Joe, Carl, Susie, Mary Louise, and Nellie.  

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jewell Greene Evans; children, Bonnie (Jerry) Williams, Christine (Barry) Meade, and Ann (Reid) Perry; grandchildren, Evan, Jobie, Haven, Josh, Nathan, Cody, Seth, Brooke and Amber.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at 11 a.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery with Minister Reid Perry officiating.

Virgil C. Thomas, 99, of Kimball, Tennessee, died on Friday, May 11, 2012.
