Donald Thomas Ossmann, 82, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Friday, February 10, 2012.
A native of Chicago, Il., he had lived in the Ringgold area for the past four years and was formerly of Lecanto, Fla. Donald was a former employee of Brentwood Retirement Center where he worked security for four years, a member of First Baptist Church of Lecanto, a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served during the Koran War, member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union #123, member of the VFW and the Korean War Veterans of Citrus County, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Ossmann; parents, William Lewis and Lillian Ossmann; and two sons, Timothy John and Paul Ossmann.
He is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Stella Ossmann of Jacksonville, Fla., Russ and Ronda Ossmann of Valrico, Fla., Robert and Abby Ossmann of Seattle, Wa., Joseph and Michelle Ossmann of Ringgold, and Michael and Lori Ossmann of Macclenny, Fla.; two brothers, John Ossmann of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Norman Ossmann of Milpitas, Ca.; 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
