Sherline Muse Parker, 58, of Calhoun, Ga., died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Sherline was born June 17, 1953 in Dalton, a daughter of the late Leon and Edith Burns Muse; and was also preceded in death by brothers, Arthur and Gary Muse; and sisters, Frances Mullins, Betty Dean and Barbara Kennedy.

Sherline is survived by her husband, Claude Parker; a son, Keith Parker of Resaca; brothers, Kenneth Muse of Dalton and Hershel Muse of Calhoun; sisters, Helen Massingill of Sugar Valley, Ga. and Gail Roden of Ranger, Ga.; grandchildren, Jacob Crisp, Jameson Stepp, Christian Stepp and Destiny Parker; and several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sherline Parker will be held Tuesday, February 14 at 2 p.m. at The Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Sugar Valley with Reverend Gary Jarrett and Reverend Joey Wheat officiating. Serving as pall bearers will be David Hand, Ronny Muse, Greg Newberry, Jason Brannon, Brandon Coats and Justin Brannon. Honorary pall bearers will be Jay Swan, Brandon Baker and Clayton Rich. Interment will be held at the Fairview Cemetery of Hall Memorial Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 13 after 11 a.m. at the family home at 754 Hall Memorial Road Calhoun Ga. and Tuesday, February 14 at the church from 12-2 p.m.

Teen Killed When Thrown From Hood Of Car At Old Kmart On Signal Mountain Road

A 17-year-old was killed Sunday night when he was thrown from the hood of a vehicle at the old Kmart on Signal Mountain Road.
