a)         2010-015 City of Chattanooga (R-3 Residential Zone to R-T/Z Residential Townhouse/Zero Lot Line Zone).  An ordinance to amend Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Chapter 38, Zoning Ordinance, so as to rezone a tract of land located at 1165 Fairmount Avenue, more particularly described herein, from R-3 Residential Zone to R-T/Z Residential Townhouse/Zero Lot Line Zone, subject to certain conditions.  (Recommended for approval by Planning and Staff with conditions, District 1.)  (Added by permission of Council Chairwoman Ladd.)  (Please note if the City Council desires to pursue the re-zoning, it will have to be re-advertised.)  (Motion to Withdraw.)

a)         A resolution authorizing the Chief of the Police Department to award a contract to Thompson Engineering for engineering redesign of the Police Service Center parking lot, for a total amount of $84,620.00.  (Revised.)

b)         A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to award Contract No. W-09-002-201, Moccasin Bend Wastewater Treatment Plant Odor Control Project, to Haren Construction Company, in the amount of $2,922,000.00, with a contingency amount of $292,000.00, for an amount not to exceed $3,214,000.00, subject to SRF loan approval.  (District 1.)

 

c)         A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Integrated Structural Services, Inc., for professional services, relative to Contract No. C-11-003-101, Design of Replacement Roofing System for Paul Clark Building, for an amount not to exceed $30,110.00.  (District 8.)

d)         A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to enter into an agreement with the Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., for professional services, relative to Contract No. W-11-014-101, Planning and Design of Water Use and Reuse Practices for Moccasin Bend Wastewater Treatment Plant, for an amount not to exceed $198,608.00.  (District 1.)

 

e)         2012-PW-001 City of Chattanooga c/o Dennis Malone.  A resolution to change the right-of-way name for the 300-399 block of Westview Drive to the 300-399 block of Candle Light Drive, Tax Map No. 109J, due to duplicate street name segments and emergency responder issues.  (District 2.)

 

f)         2012-PW-002 City of Chattanooga c/o Dennis Malone.  A resolution to change the right-of-way name for the 400-499 block of Westview Drive to the 400-499 block of Cloudland Trail, Tax Map No. 157I, due to the street name segments and emergency responder issues.  (District 6.)

 

g)         2012-PW-003 City of Chattanooga c/o Dennis Malone.  A resolution to change the right-of-way name for the 5200-5399 block of Dorris Street to the 5200-5399 block of Usher Drive, Tax Map No. 167K, due to the duplicate street name segments and emergency responder issues.  (District 7.)

i)          2012-PW-005 City of Chattanooga c/o Dennis Malone.  A resolution to change the right-of-way name for the 2200-2299 block of Dorris Street to the 2200-2299 block of April Street, Tax Map No. 156A, due to the street name segments and emergency responder issues.  (District 8.)

l) A resolution authorizing the Mayor to apply for and, if approved, accept a TIGER IV grant relative to the Wilcox Tunnel Project in the amount of $25 million with the City matching funds of $17 million through local and/or other grant.  (Added by permission of Council Chairwoman Ladd.)

 b)         A resolution authorizing the Chattanooga Housing Authority and Dogwood Manor to enter into an annual contract for bedbug eradication with Terminix for service and inspection, for an amount of $30,000.00 to be paid from the Dogwood Manor Operating Fund.

 

c)         A resolution authorizing the appointment of Jackie Born as a special police officer (unarmed) for the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department, Land Development Office, to do special duty as prescribed herein, subject to certain conditions.

 

d)         A resolution authorizing the appointment of Donna Thomas as a special police officer (unarmed) for the City of Chattanooga Neighborhood Services Department, to do special duty as prescribed herein, subject to certain conditions.

 

e)         A resolution authorizing Change Order No. 2 for Material Matters, Inc. relative to the provision of Biosolids Data Management System support and services in conjunction with the use of the Material Matters, Inc. database, in the amount of $20,000.00, for a revised contract amount not to exceed $74,500.00. 

 

f)         A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to enter into a Partnership Agreement with Jedco, LLC relative to Project No. E-11-008-801, Cowart Street Streetscape Improvements, and receive a donation in the amount of $8,000.00 for project related costs.

 

g)         A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to award Contract No. C-11-002-201, Citywide Services Tool Building Roof Replacement to J.D. Helton Roofing Company, Inc., in the amount of $156,381.00, with a contingency amount of $15,000.00, for an amount not to exceed $171,381.00.

 

h)         A resolution authorizing an additional estimated amount of $1.8 million extension to the blanket contract with  Excalibur Integrated Systems.

 

i)          2011-105 Chattanooga Construction Company, Inc./Bent Creek Golf Villas (formerly Creek Plantation Condominiums).  A resolution approving a Final Planned Unit Development Special Exceptions Permit for a Planned Unit Development known as Bent Creek Golf Villas (formerly Creek Plantation Condominiums), on tracts of land located at 110 through 286 Templeton Lane, more particularly described herein and as shown on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, subject to certain conditions.

Filming Gets Underway At Engel Stadium On Major Motion Picture Starring Harrison Ford

Filming began Monday morning at Engel Stadium on a major motion picture starring Harrison Ford. Hundreds of Chattanoogans also had cameo roles. The local "extras" parked early this morning at Finley Stadium and went in CARTA buses to the filming site. A host of extras dressed in 1940s garb got off the buses. Bradley County Commission Defers Vote On Participation In Future Jointly-Funded Projects With City Of Cleveland
