CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. announced the promotion of Scott Word to Vice President – Asset Management.
Mr. Word began his career with CBL in 1993 as an accountant. In 1997, he moved into CBL’s Acquisitions Department as a financial analyst, playing an integral role in the acquisition of more than $6.0 billion in commercial real estate. In 2008, he joined the Asset Management team as director - asset management where he serves as the primary liaison for the Company’s joint venture partner relationships. Mr. Word also spearheads CBL’s third party management business.

Scott has played a key role in nearly every acquisition since CBL completed its initial public offering in 1993 and most recently has been responsible for growth in our third party management business. Mr. Word is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration. He and his wife, Meg, have two sons, Chapman and Parker.
