Allen Paris

Allen L. Paris, 60, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at his residence.  

He was an Army veteran and was a former employee of Wheland Foundry.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Paris; mother, Leola McGahee; brothers, Leroy, L.D. and John Paris; sisters, Gloria Clay and Dorothy Paris.  

Survivors include his loving companion, Talza Bridges of Chattanooga; daughters, Cleo Averitte and Valeria Paris both of Sylacauga, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; brother, Ernest Paris, Jr. of Cleveland, Oh.; sisters, Nell Clay, Annie Phillips, Janet (James) Penny all of Chattanooga and Jessie Walker of Cleveland, Oh.; uncle, Andrew Scott of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  

Visitation is on Wednesday, February 15, from 7-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.  

Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 16, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Ernest Jefferson. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Mark “Mike” Manley Crandall, 75, of Soddy Daisy, died on May 21, 2012. Mike moved to Chattanooga in 1967. Teen Killed When Thrown From Hood Of Car At Old Kmart On Signal Mountain Road

A 17-year-old was killed Sunday night when he was thrown from the hood of a vehicle at the old Kmart on Signal Mountain Road.
