Ritchey, Eleanor

Eleanor Ritchey, 86, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Monday, February 13, 2012, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Gertrude Anderson, brother, Linn Anderson, one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

Eleanor retired as a registered nurse in New Jersey and later worked as a volunteer nurse at Grace Academy in Chattanooga.

She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her five daughters, Eleanor Philips, of St. Peters, Mo., Linda Sofield, of Chattanooga, Deborah del Villar, of Streamwood, Il., Karen Hub, of Colorado Springs, Co., Judy Sloop, of Parlin, N.J., 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Anderson, of Fla., Samuel Anderson, of Santa Rosa, Ca., and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Grace Baptist Academy in Chattanooga or Greater St. Louis Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America (Special Needs).

Mark “Mike” Manley Crandall, 75, of Soddy Daisy, died on May 21, 2012. Mike moved to Chattanooga in 1967. Teen Killed When Thrown From Hood Of Car At Old Kmart On Signal Mountain Road

A 17-year-old was killed Sunday night when he was thrown from the hood of a vehicle at the old Kmart on Signal Mountain Road.
