A Chattanooga State student told police he was robbed at knifepoint in the college parking lot as he was getting in his car to leave after classes.

Jonathan White said he was approached by a white male in a gray sweatshirt and wearing a Lookouts ball cap.

He said the man displayed a knife, then hit a button that caused a blade about 4"-5"  long to snap out.

The man took his wallet containing $40 and gift cards along with his wrist watch.

The robber headed toward the Health and Fitness Center.

Police came to the scene, but could not locate the man.
