Wednesday, February 15, 2012

Crime Stoppers and the Rossville Police Department are seeking help in solving a robbery that occurred at a local Family Dollar Store.

Rossville police officers responded to an armed robbery at 115 Chickamauga Ave, The Family Dollar Store on Jan. 23, at approximately 8:18 p.m.

The suspect had walked up to the counter with items as if he were going to purchase them. After the clerk had scanned the items, the suspect pulled-out a handgun, placed it under his arm, and said “Do we have an understanding?” The clerk was fearful and gave the suspect the money from the register. The suspect took the money and ran out of the store headed toward the Tennessee state line.

The suspect is seen in the photos as a white male, possibly 40-50 years old, 5’ 8” tall, and 200-220 pounds. He is seen wearing a dark colored toboggan, a dark colored coat, and blue jeans.

Anyone who knows who the suspect is or has any other information regarding this robbery, should call Crime Stoppers. A confidential call could result in a reward of up to $1,000. Call Crime Stoppers at 423 698-3333.
