Comment Period Deadline Approaching For 2012-23 Hunting Regulations

The deadline is approaching to submit comments concerning the 2012-13 hunting season regulations to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The comment period is open until Friday, Feb. 24.

Public comments will be considered by TWRA’s Wildlife Division staff and may be presented as proposals for regulation changes.  Comments may be submitted by mail to: 2012-13 Hunting Season Comments, TWRA, Wildlife Management Division, P.O. Box 40747, Nashville, TN 37204 or emailed to twra.comment@tn.gov.  Please include “Hunting Season Comments” on the subject line of emailed submissions. 


The annual hunting seasons are usually established by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission at its May meeting.

City's Bike Sharing Program Delayed By Software Issue; U.S. Cycling To Bring 50,000 Spectators In 2013

Philip Pugliese, Chattanooga bicycle coordinator, said the start of the city's touted bicycle share program has been delayed due to a software issue. Teen Killed When Thrown From Hood Of Car At Old Kmart On Signal Mountain Road

A 17-year-old was killed Sunday night when he was thrown from the hood of a vehicle at the old Kmart on Signal Mountain Road. At 8:34 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 680 Signal Mountain Road where they found the teen suffering from head trauma. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.  Traffic investigators said ...
