The groundbreaking for the new WellAdvantage Health and Wellness Center will be Friday at 11 a.m.   Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield, City Council members, City Personnel Director Donna Kelley, Wellness Coordinator Jenny Lowry, and others will launch the construction phase of the new $4.1 million, 20,000 square foot center.  

The Welladvantage Health and Wellness Center will be available to employees, retirees and their families.

The new WellAdvantage Health and Wellness Center will replace two existing facilities currently operated by the city of Chattanooga.  This precedent setting venture is designed to better serve the 8,000 employees, dependents, and retirees, who use the current facilities.

The WellAdvantage Health and Wellness Center will house the city’s Employer Sponsored Patient Centered Medical Home concept.  The city’s on-site health center, pharmacy and fitness center will all be located in the facility.

Mike and Cary Davis from DBS Corporation, the contractor responsible for construction, and Phil Whitfield with TWH Architects will also participate.



Filming Gets Underway At Engel Stadium On Major Motion Picture Starring Harrison Ford

Filming began Monday morning at Engel Stadium on a major motion picture starring Harrison Ford. Hundreds of Chattanoogans also had cameo roles.
