Prosecutors said fingerprints taken from two East Ridge burglaries on South Seminole helped bring the arrest of Samuel Jason Story.
Story, 31, pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary before Criminal Court Judge Barry Steelman on Wednesday.
Judge Steelman noted that Story had been on probation on a prior four-year suspended sentence. He ordered him to complete the balance of that sentence.
He was given a consecutive four-year term for one of the new burglaries.
Another six-year sentence was run consecutive to those, but it was suspended based on Story being on supervised release.
In another case, Charles Thomas Moore was directed to stay out of all Walmarts for a year after he pleaded guilty to a string of small Walmart thefts.
He took a candy bar in one of the shopliftings.
Moore was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days suspended upon serving six months. He is due for release from the workhouse since he served three months at "two for one".
