Sinclair, Jean Marie (Dayton Mountain)

Jean Marie Sinclair, 83, of Dayton Mountain, Tn., died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Chattanooga.

 She was born December 10, 1928 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Otto and Helen (Lind) Newberg. She lived on Dayton Mountain most of her life and was a homemaker. She was an accomplished pianist and artist. She was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Sinclair of Dayton Mountain; sons, Leslie (Helen) Sinclair of Dayton Mountain and Barry (Jackie) Sinclair of Ila, Ga.; daughter, Linda Hellmann of Harriman; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Jean will be Thursday, February 23 at noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Wendt officiating. Burial will follow in the Ogden Cemetery.

family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Wednesday, February 22 from 4-7 p.m.

Teen Killed When Thrown From Hood Of Car At Old Kmart On Signal Mountain Road

A 17-year-old was killed Sunday night when he was thrown from the hood of a vehicle at the old Kmart on Signal Mountain Road.
