Soon Kim Scott, 78, of Cleveland, Tn., and formerly of Seoul Korea, died on Monday, February 20, 2012 in a local hospital surrounded by her family.
She was a devout Christian and a member of Korean Full Gospel Chattanooga Church. She also served in the South Korean Army. She loved growing flowers, gardening, camping and fishing. She had a passion for cooking traditional Korean food for others. After her retirement from Bishop Baking Company, much of her time was dedicated to her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Scott.
She is survived by her daughter, Young Stonecipher (Thomas); son, Kyoung Kim (Karen); grandson, Dustin Johnson; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Seong J. Kim officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, February 23 at the Fike Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
