The Chattanooga Writers Guild will present Tips for Building Creativity by Dr. Susan Hickman, Tuesday, March 13, 7 p.m. at the Downtown Branch of the Public Library.

Review for Tips for Building Creativity:

If you have suffered writers block or wondered how to give your characters more depth, consider the Psychology of Writing. This session will help you beat writers block and become more creative. Dr. Hickman will introduce hidden aspects of the writing process, some reasons why we get blocked, and suggestions for breaking through the blocks. She will show how new forms of writing can assist in this process.

The Chattanooga Writers Guild offers tips on the craft of writing and on promoting work at monthly meetings. Writing groups within the guild offer critique and suggestions for writers in several genres.   For more information visit http://www.chattanoogawritersguild.org


Author Rachel Burson Will Have A Book Signing June 2

Author Rachel Burson will have a book signing June 2, from 1-3 p.m., at Book Gallery 4900 Hixson Pike. Hotel Planned At South End Of The Walnut Street Bridge

Teen Killed When Thrown From Hood Of Car At Old Kmart On Signal Mountain Road

A 17-year-old was killed Sunday night when he was thrown from the hood of a vehicle at the old Kmart on Signal Mountain Road. At 8:34 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 680 Signal Mountain Road where they found the teen suffering from head trauma. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.  Traffic investigators said ...
