Fire damaged the roof of a Collegedale business early Friday evening.
At 6:40 p.m. a motorist called 911 to report a roof fire at Hawker Power Source at 9308 Ooltewah Industrial Dr. Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene within six minutes reporting heavy smoke pouring out of the roofline of the business.
Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department requested a Mutual Aid response for additional units to cover their district for any additional calls.
Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department and Catoosa County Fire Department responded and staged at the Ooltewah and Collegedale fire stations.
Fire officials with Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department reported the fire started on the roofline of the business. The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Tri-Community Fire Marshal’s Office. Damages are unknown at this time.
No injuries were reported. All employees from the Hawker Power Source evacuated the building safely.
Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the firefighters.
