Woman Says Boyfriend Did Not Come To Her Aid During Rape

Friday, February 03, 2012

A woman testified in General Sessions Court that her boyfriend refused to come to her aid while she was being raped in the backseat of his Ford Explorer by another man.

The woman sobbed, "I was screaming, but Kyle wouldn't help. He wouldn't do nothing."

Judge David Bales bound rape charges to the Grand Jury against 25-year-old Olber Roblero and raised his bond to $250,000.

The woman said the boyfriend and Roblero came over to her residence and, as all three of them were in the vehicle, she and her boyfriend had a lengthy argument.

She said the two men were in the back seat and she in the front, but she jumped into the back so she could face her boyfriend as they argued.

She said when the boyfriend went outside to urinate, Roblero forced himself on her and had sex. She said, "I kept screaming and screaming, but he wouldn't stop. My sister came out and finally pulled him off of me."

Police found Roblero sitting on a curb covered in blood. The woman said her sister kneed Roblero in the head.

Questioned by Alan Dunn of the public defender's office, the woman said she and the boyfriend drank a bottle and a half of whisky while sitting in the vehicle.

Prosecutor Lila Statom said Roblero has no criminal record, but he also has no known address and he first was listed as a John Doe in the criminal complaint.

The Walking Horse Industry Is Laughable - And Response

Roy Exum has said it all- "The industry is laughable."  The Humane Society's Keith Dane said last week, "The penalties are not sufficient ... jail time is the only sufficient penalty." Absolutely.  It is time for the Walking Horse industry to be treated in the same way that cock fighting and dog fighting are treated by the law.  Remember Michael Vick?  ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: The Horse Industry Is Livid

I am convinced that when Jackie "The Jerk" McConnell appears in U.S. District Court today in Chattanooga, he will do so as perhaps the most despised man in the history of the state of Tennessee. A heart-wrenching video of the despicable McConnell cruelly beating a horse in its face with an electric cattle prod has been shown repeatedly since Wednesday night and has appeared in countless ...
