39th Annual Thorne Sparkman School Of Religion Is Feb. 29-March 28

The 39th Annual Thorne Sparkman School of Religion, hosted by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with the involvement of other local Episcopal parishes, will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m., Feb. 29 – March 28.

The schedule is as follows: Organ meditation: 5:30 p.m., Holy Eucharist: 5:45 p.m., and dinner: 6 p.m. (optional, Cost: $7 each meal, $35 for all dinners). Classes begin at 7 p.m. Cost for enrollment is $20.

Michael Woodward and Mr. Christopher Carpenter, faculty members of The McCallie School.

Revelations of the Magi: Rediscovering the Connections Between Christianity and Astrology

Taught by: Dr. Lilan Laishley and Ms. Lisa Harrison.

Dr. Laishly is a faculty member at UT Chattanooga; Ms. Harrison is a psychotherapist.

Exploring the Creeds

Taught by: The Rev. Dr. Rebecca Abts Wright, Professor of Old Testament, The School of Theology, The University of the South.

Christ and Culture: The Church’s Role in American Political Life

Taught by: Dr. Joseph Monti, Professor Emeritus of Christian Ethics and Moral Theology, The School of Theology of The University of The South.

Practice Resurrection: Transforming Power for Life Today
