Bennette “Earl” Plemons, 92, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Friday, February 3, 2012.

He was born in Ringgold to the late George & Emily Plemons, and retired from Combustion after 35 years of service.

Earl was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, C.L. and Euless Plemons, sister, Myrtle Shields, and daughter, Glenda Wellchance.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Katherine Plemons of Ringgold, son, Doug (Gail) Plemons of Ringgold, daughter, Joann (Tommy) Watts of Signal Mountain., son-in-law, Johnny Wellchance of Harrison, siblings, Harry Plemons, Edgar Plemons, Rossie Grisham all of Ringgold, grandchildren, Pamela Gilreath, Brian Plemons, Misty Wellchance, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, in the chapel with Brother Danny Henson officiating. Interment will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, and prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
