Sims, Mary Lee Richards

Mary Lee Richards Sims, 85, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, February 3, 2012 at her home. 

She was a 1945 graduate of Central High School and attended McKenzie Business School. She worked at Lookout Beauty Supply and later as an administrative assistant at First-Centenary United Methodist Church where she was a member. She retired June, 1988.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Bernard Sims and her daughter, Peggy Lynn Sims Sapp.  

Survivors include her son, Larry Bernard Sims (Kathy), grandsons, Jason Sims (Heather) and Justin Sims (Mandi), and great-granddaughter, Harper Kate Sims, cousins, James Bishop, Ivey Bishop and Barbara Bishop, several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel at Chattanooga Funeral Home East with Dr. David Harr officiating. Interment will follow at National Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inner City Ministry of First-Centenary UMC, P. O. Box 208, Chattanooga, Tn.  37401.
