Location Change Announced For Red Bank NPA’s Stringer’s Ridge Meeting On Feb. 20

Friday, February 03, 2012

The Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association’s meeting on Feb. 20 will feature Rick Wood, director of the Trust for Public Land. Mr. Wood will be speaking to Red Bank citizens regarding Stringer’s Ridge improvements and the current easements that provide protection for the ridge.

Originally planned to take place at the Red Bank Community Center, the NPA is moving the meeting to the Red Bank Fire Station #2, at 4851 Dayton Boulevard, next to the Recycle Center and the new Driver Service Center. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Due to construction and intersection changes taking place at Morrison Springs Road and Tom Weathers Drive, the meeting is being moved to Fire Station #2.

“We had hoped construction would be completed by now, unfortunately, I think the weather got the best of us,” said Neighborhood Pride Chairperson Carla Quinn.

“We are very fortunate to have Mr. Wood come speak with us. Stringer’s Ridge is an amazing asset to our community and I believe the citizens of Red Bank are very interested in keeping it protected, as well as having the ability to enjoy and utilize it.”

The Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association is a group of Red Bank residents that are committed to helping the city be a more desirable place to live. Its community meetings are quarterly at the Red Bank Community Center behind Erlanger North. All Red Bank residents are welcome to attend.

The Walking Horse Industry Is Laughable - And Response

Roy Exum has said it all- "The industry is laughable."  The Humane Society's Keith Dane said last week, "The penalties are not sufficient ... jail time is the only sufficient penalty." Absolutely.  It is time for the Walking Horse industry to be treated in the same way that cock fighting and dog fighting are treated by the law.  Remember Michael Vick?  ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: The Horse Industry Is Livid

I am convinced that when Jackie "The Jerk" McConnell appears in U.S. District Court today in Chattanooga, he will do so as perhaps the most despised man in the history of the state of Tennessee. A heart-wrenching video of the despicable McConnell cruelly beating a horse in its face with an electric cattle prod has been shown repeatedly since Wednesday night and has appeared in countless ...
