Wrestling Coach Steps Down

Former two-time state champion  (1980, 1981) John Lennon has resigned as head wrestling coach at Signal Mountain High School effective immediatley.

 Lennon was in his second season as head coach and replaced Casey Thompson after the 2008-09 season. Thompson was the school's first wrestling  coach, and was hired the first day  (Feb. 14 of of the 2008 state traditional  wrestling tournament.

Lennon will continue to head the school's drama program.

Signal Mountain Principal Suspended For Rest Of Year

Hamilton County School Superintendent Rick Smith has notified Tom McCullough that he is suspended from his job as principal of Signal Mountain high school and middle school.
