Cornelius Smith has been arrested in connection with an incident Nov. 18 in which police said he stole all of his former girlfriend's under garments as well as her TV and DVD player.
Smith, of 900 Mountain Creek Road, is charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism.
Melanie Vincente said she came home from a friend's house and found Smith inside her residence on Zinna Street. She said he started running toward her and she began running in the opposite direction with her son in her arms, yelling for help. She said he chased her across a courtyard to the house of a neighbor, who was holding the door open for her to come in.
She said he then began to yell at her to come back out.
He then walked over to her vehicle and broke out the front and rear windshields as well as slashing the tires.
She said she found out about the missing items and that her house had been ransacked when she finally went home.
