Jasper's Rebecca Lofty To Compete In Miss Tennessee Pageant

There will be at least eight contestants from the Chattanooga area competing at Miss Tennessee this year.
 
Rebecca Lofty, a native of Jasper, was chosen Miss Middle Tennessee Blue Raider Friday evening at the university's annual pageant in Murfreesboro. 

The 23-year-old received a $500 scholarship and will represent the university at June's state pageant.  Miss Lofty is pursuing her master's in professional studies and strategic leadership at MTSU.  In addition to her current studies, she is a full time client support advocate at Government Service Automation in Nashville. 

She received her bachelor of science in communications in 2009 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she worked in student orientation and leadership development, was vice-president of Phi Mu Sorority and served as a scheduling intern for former Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen.

 

The daughter of Steve and Vicki Lofty, she is a 2006 graduate of Marion County High School.
