A 20-year-old who for the second time failed to live up to terms of probation has been ordered by Criminal Court Judge Don Poole to begin serving a five-year prison sentence.
Jonathan Radford was convicted earlier for facilitation to commit aggravated robbery.
He also has a consecutive three-year sentence for burglary, but Judge Poole did not order active time in that case.
Radford said he had not gotten in any more trouble over the last two years, and he said he felt that was basically what probation is about.
He acknowledged he had not kept up with the probation requirements.
Prosecutor Cameron Williams said he could not be found on curfew checks and that he stopped staying in contact with his probation officer. "He basically asbconded," the prosecutor said.
Radford's attorney said he was not always home because of a turbulent relationship with his mother.
