4 Charged With Burglary After Tip From Neighbor On Hidden Ridge Road

An observant neighbor who noticed some unusual activity at 1827 Hidden Ridge Road on Monday night resulted in four people being charged with burglary.

Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office were notified at 6:49 p.m. to respond to 1827 Hidden Ridge Road as a neighbor noticed an unknown vehicle in the driveway and at least four people inside the home.  The homeowner was notified and came home. He advised law enforcement no one should be in the residence.

 

A perimeter was established around the residence by law enforcement. Bessie Eagle and Joseph Blaxton exited the home and were immediately taken into custody.  When deputies entered the home, Jason Looney was observed holding a basket containing some electronic equipment. Kyle Davis was located in the rear of the home.

Deputies found a broken window in the back door and also found that one of the suspects was suffering from a cut to his hand that was still bleeding. 

All four were taken into custody and charged with burglary.



Woman Gets Minivan Stuck On Railroad Track; It Is Hit By Train; She Goes To Jail

Police said a woman got her minivan stuck on railroad tracks on Hickory Valley Road on Friday. A train wound up hitting the van, and the woman, Julie Louanne Abel, wound up being taken to jail. Ms. Abel, 45, of 7437 Private Lane, was charged with driving on a revoked license and having no proof of insurance. A woman who was behind the minivan said Ms. Abel got out of the vehicle. ... John Gilpin Wins Raccoon Mountain 10K Saturday
