Gamma Theta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Hyksos Temple No. 123 Prince Hall Shriners, A.E.A.O.N.M.S., Inc. will host Youth Symposium 2012 on Saturday, March 3, at Booker T. Washington State Park Group Camp from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  

The event is free and open to parents and youth ages 11 through 18. The event will feature interactive sessions, a panel discussion, door prizes, and a free lunch. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes to take part in all the activities.

Weather permitting, some activities will be outside.

The theme is, "H3:It's All About Me - Healthy Choices, Healthy Living, Healthy Generations".  Topics for discussion will focus on developing youth physically, mentally, and spiritually.  Participants will have the opportunity to take a variety of “fit-tests”, gain information on college preparation, learn about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers, dialogue with a police officer in a non-intimidating setting, and interact with local politicians.
