The Friends of the Library spring book sale runs Feb. 25-March 5 at Eastgate Town Center. Hours are Monday–Saturday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. and Sunday, noon–6 p.m.
A half-price sale will be held March 4. On March 5, remaining books will be sold for $3.50 a bag.
Books are restocked daily. Records, audio books, movies, tapes and magazines are also sold. Bargain prices are $2 for hardbacks; $1 for paperbacks; $1 for children’s hardbacks; and .50 cents for children’s paperbacks. Collectable books, magazines and sets are priced separately.
All books are sorted into over 50 different categories, including the German language. The Special books section will include a selection of vintage magazines:
· Mechanics Illustrated dating back to the 1930s
· Bound National Geographic Magazines dating back to the 1910s.
· Pulp western magazines from the 1940s and 1950s
· Antiques Magazine dating back to the 1930s
“We will have a large number of children’s books and a large selection of fiction,” states Tom Adkins, Friends of the Library chair. “Because we restock as space becomes available, new material is available as the sale progresses.”
