A workhouse inmate who escaped on Sunday has been recaptured.
Darrious Brown, 29, escaped from the Silverdale Workhouse while working at an off-site detail at the Standifer Place Nursing Home laundry room.
Detectives with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Division, following up on information they received today on a possible location for the fugitive, went to 1705 South Hawthorne St. When approaching the front door they could hear someone running through the house.
A search of the residence ended with finding Darrious Brown hiding in the attic.
He then attempted to elude capture by jumping out of the second-story window. Brown sustained a serious injury to his ankle by doing so.
Brown was transported to an area hospital by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services.
On his release from the hospital he will be charged with escape.
