Billy Dan Williams, 86 of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2012.
He was born in Kansas City, Mo., to the late James “Sim” and Emma Williams, but had lived in the Chattanooga area since 1971. Billy was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He had retired from Railway Express after 35 years of service and then from Provident after 10 years of service as a security guard.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Kyle Williams; brother, James Al Williams and sister, Mary Moore.
Survivors include his daughter, Dana Williams of Flat Rock, Ala.; sister, Alene Noland of Kansas City, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 10, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Billy Dean officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-noon on Friday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe.
