25th Annual Marie Humphreys Spring Wildflower Festival & Native Plant Sale Is March 30-April 1

The dates for the 25th annual Marie Humphreys Spring Wildflower Festival and Native Plant Sale will be March 30 & 31, and April 1. Admission is free and the hours of the sale will be Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, from 1-5 p.m.  

Organizers said, "This year we will, again, have guided walks identifying the native flora with regard to its historical and therapeutic significance, a couple of longer hikes exploring Reflection Riding’s property, some interesting talks on a variety of gardening and botanical subject, live folk music, a native plant photography contest, door prizes every hour, and, of course, hundreds of native trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers for sale."  

A plant list and full schedule of events will appear in the newsletter and on the web site www.chattanoogaanc.org.  

Volunteers will be honored with a free workshop and wildflower walk on Wednesday, March 28, at noon.

There will also be invasive plant removal days on Feb. 12, 19 and March 3, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. These will be held by Riding caretaker Jeffrey Hunter, but please contact Mary Katherine to reserve a spot.
