A woman was critically injured in a crash in Cleveland on Wednesday night.

Shortly after 7 p.m., there was a serious traffic accident on North Lee Highway at the intersection of North Lee and Tasso Lane.

Bradley County Emergency Medical Service responded three ambulances and a paramedic supervisor to the scene.

Involved was a dump truck, an Oldsmobile, and a Pathfinder. The Oldsmobile pulled out from Tasso Lane in the path of the dump truck and was hit in the driver's door.

The Pathfinder was sitting in the southbound turn lane to turn onto Tasso Lane.

The Oldsmobile had significant intrusion into the driver's door. The driver was an adult female and was the only occupant in the car. She suffered critical injuries and paramedics requested the response of an air medical helicopter to respond to the scene. Lifeforce helicopter landed and the patient was flown to Erlanger Hospital.

The Cleveland fire Department and Bradley County Fire and Rescue assisted EMS in extricating the patient from the wreckage.

The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured. The Cleveland Police Department is in charge of the investigation.
