The Recall Case Can't Be Fairly Judged By Hollingsworth

Thursday, February 09, 2012

I just read in a Chattanoogan article that Jerry Summers of the Election Commission doesn't think the fix is in as far as the recall case goes.  He thinks that Hollingsworth can be" fair."  Let's look at the facts.

1. Hollingsworth's first ruling was a tortured morass of legal mumbo jumbo that was overturned when it went to appeals court. He should have recused himself the first time.

2. Littlefield's attorneys were from his old law firm.

3. After he was overturned the case was assigned to another judge.

The new judge unethically turned the case back over to Hollingsworth.

4. Hollingsworth has never ruled against his old law firm at any hearing.

5. When could it be more obvious for a judge to recuse himself? Hollingsworth will not recuse himself.

There is no way the recall case can be fairly judged by Hollingsworth.  Hollingsworth, his old law firm, and Littlefield are just trying to delay. They know if it is appealed again, it will be enough time that Littlefield will be out of office.

How stupid do they think we are?  Pretty stupid.  This is the Chattanooga way.
