CASA Officials And Volunteers Attend CASA Day At The Capitol

  • Thursday, February 9, 2012

Kristie Taylor, program director, and CASA volunteer, Jane Everett, from Lookout Mountain CASA, attended the annual “JUSTGeorgia/CASA Day at the Capitol” event in Atlanta on Tuesday.

The day included a group photo with Governor and Mrs. Nathan Deal. The group also met with Representative Tom Weldon and Representative Jay Neal to ask for support of CASA, child welfare issues and the children’s code rewrite.

Officials said, "CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family. You can lift up a child’s voice, a child’s life."
