Bill Ewton
William “Bill” Ewton, 74, of Signal Mountain, died on Monday, March 5, 2012 in a local health care facility.
He was a Navy veteran, retired from TVA after 32 years of service, and was a member of Signal Mountain Church of the Nazarene.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lannie and Thelma McCrary Ewton; sisters, Joyce Powell and Mildred Thompson; and stepchildren, Marla Irwin Byrd and David Irwin.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine “Cathy” Lanham Ewton; sons, Bill Ewton Jr. and Jonathan Ewton; step-son, Randal Irwin; stepdaughter, Lori Irwin (Keith) Zeller; sister, Elsie Mae Ridge; brothers, Lee (Betty) Ewton and James (Hazel) Ewton; grandchildren, Chris Ewton, Barrett Ewton, James Lusk, Patrick Irwin, Olivia and Amelia Zeller; great-grandchild, Jordan Ewton; several nieces and nephews; mother of his sons, Elsie Ewton.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, in Chattanooga Memorial Park with Mike Laskowski, Reverend Don Taylor, Reverend John Andrus and Reverend Don Hawkins officiating.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
