James Lawrence Kaminski, 72, of Dayton, Tn., died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at a hospital in Chattanooga.
He was born Oct. 3, 1939 in Hamtramck, Mich. and moved to Dayton in 1989. He retired as a boilermaker for Wayne State University in Detroit. Jim served his country with the US Navy and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred “Millie” (Tennyson) Kaminski of Dayton; son, Scott Kaminski; three brothers, Tommy Kaminski, Kenny Kaminski and Dennis Kaminski; three sisters, Kathy Kaminski, Marlene Robinson and Cheryl Stiller; and his three grandchildren, all of Michigan.
Graveside services with full military honors were held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
