A different style of worship and Bible study will begin Sunday, at Second Presbyterian Church, 700 Pine St. The new programs are planned for individuals and families who may not be currently engaged in existing Sunday Schools or traditional worship services. Nine45 has been selected as the name for the new program, which will be an informal program of prayer, praise, study and worship for all ages.
It will begin each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. in the Helwig Fellowship Hall and will conclude at 10:25 a.m. The program will include music, video clips and an informal presentation of the same message that Dr. Perry McCallen will provide in the traditional worship. The atmosphere will be informal but not contemporary. Communion and other Holy Sacraments will be offered only in the traditional worship program in the sanctuary at 11 a.m. The period for refreshments and fellowship will be expanded and offered in the Elmore Room from 10:25-10:50 a.m.
