Anthony Carl “Tony” Howard, 40, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the family residence.

Tony was a 1990 Graduate of Bradley Central High School. Tony was the co-owner of Howard Machine. He was considered an exceptional Machinist! He enjoyed hunting, fishing cooking out and spending time with his children. Tony was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Murray County.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Gladson Howard; his paternal grandparents, George E. Howard Sr. and Thelma E. Howard; his maternal great-grandparents, A.C. and Pearl Gee; his aunts, Gwen Dean Gladson, Betty Howard and Bobbie Foster; and his step-grandfather, Harle Kinser.

Survivors include his wife, Patches Howard of Chatsworth; his daughters, Lacy Cooper and her husband Steven, Emily Jean Howard and Kayley Faye Howard all of Chatsworth; his father, George E. “Sonny” Howard Jr. and his wife Elisa of Cleveland; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Mary J. Gladson of Cleveland; his step-grandmother, Nadine Kinser of Cleveland; his aunts, Judy Dixon and Ruth Davis and her husband Ray all of Calhoun, Tn. and Mary Hembree of Cleveland; his uncles, Charles Gladson and his wife Gail of Castlewood, Va. and Bob Foster of Charleston, Tn.; and several cousins.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. from Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Lee Ingram and Reverend Mike Rymer officiating. Interment will follow in the Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Brad Kinser, Jeff Anderson, Danny Dixon, Tim Foster, Jeff Stacy, Jeff Dixon, Ellis Knight and Jammy Miller serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 13 at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.


Kirkpatrick, Susan (Cookeville)
